Tehran is prepared to restart nuclear discussions with Washington on condition that it is approached with "dignity" and "respect", Tehran's foreign minister has declared.

The Iranian diplomat stated exclusively dialogue worked, and disclosed fresh requests had been made by mediators to restart discussions with the American leadership. He claimed Iran did not have secret atomic facilities, and Tehran had not yet reached a point to authorize the International Atomic Energy Agency to inspect bombed nuclear sites for protective measures.

Navigating a Challenging Path

Araghchi is treading a complex route since Iran wishes not to be seen to be proceeding from a stance of weakness, and he emphatically stated that Iran had arisen more resilient in military terms and psychologically from the joint assault on its nuclear sites in June.

He was speaking at a defense forum in Tehran where he restated that Iran had "an inalienable right to refine atomic fuel domestically that it will always maintain" – the key factor of the stalemate in the previous talks.

Earlier Discussions Suddenly Concluded

The earlier sessions of talks between the US and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and acrimonious termination on 12 June when the Israeli government, with American backing, struck Iran's enrichment centers in a 12-day war that concluded with the American leader declaring the sites had been destroyed. Following this, European countries exercised their privilege to reimpose international penalties, but Iran asserts they have not had a substantial consequence.

Perfect Agreement Offered

Tehran representatives stated they felt they had reached a "magic solution" to the nuclear fuel concern in earlier negotiations, when it was decided an Iran-based consortium with Washington's engagement could enrich uranium. Each party would have been able to claim victory since local refinement would have persisted and the US could be confident that Iran's enrichment initiative was entirely non-military.

It had not been agreed in the talks that Washington's technical specialists could function inside Iran, but that was a logical implication of the cooperative offer. Representatives claimed three times they had reached agreement with Washington's diplomat the US official only for the agreement to collapse due to "spoilers in Washington".

Current Situation

Tehran representatives declared the consortium offer was now withdrawn, but it seems highly likely the suggestion could be resurrected in various formats if negotiations resume.

The American leader recently said he had been receiving messages that Iran desired to restart talks, but confidentially Tehran representatives claim they are not yet obtaining consistent overtures from the United States either explicitly or from important Middle Eastern intermediaries, such as the Qatari government, the Egyptian leadership, the Omani authorities and Saudi Arabia. The Tehran's diplomatic corps has been charged of non-responsiveness in the face of Trump's direct instinctive approach, but Tehran states negotiations is not part of a performance.

Negotiating Standpoint

In his address to the conference, intended to portray the US as a controlling nation that exploits the idea of global regulations, Araghchi stated the 12-day war revealed the conflict could not be resolved by armed force. He said the strikes began with a Washington's ultimatum for an unconditional Iranian surrender and concluded with an unconditional call for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is certain the first strikes by Israel were carried out with complete American awareness and cooperation, making trust challenging to restore.

Diplomacy Continues the Final Solution

The foreign minister declared: "Tehran was not the one that had fled negotiations; it was America and the European states that had repeatedly sought to impose their demands during the discussions. Diplomacy can still be alive and continues the final solution to settle conflicts, but its criteria, guidelines and fundamentals must be followed."

"In case they speak to the Iranian people with the language of dignity and honor, they will receive a response in the equivalent language."

Repair and Recovery

In what is portrayed by Iranian officials as the conflict of repair and recovery, the foreign minister said he was certain Iran's security strengths "are considerably enhanced than before 13 or 14 June of this year. All our capabilities have been reestablished. We learned multiple understandings from this war; we have come to know our internal vulnerabilities and the vulnerabilities of the adversary."

He continued: "We effectively endured this war. Our atomic expertise, which they planned to eliminate, stays intact. The sites and machinery, if damaged, will be reconstructed; what is crucial is the resolve of the Iranian people and then the social solidarity that they sought to undermine, but were unable to break. The nation of Iran have become stronger, more integrated, and more backing of the leadership and the country in the face of this invasion."
